- Collaborates with own technical discipline or Service Line within all regions to secure additional projects needed to maintain own team members and personal utilization.
- Consolidates information gained from working collaboratively across multi-discipline projects with others at a similar level in different parts of the Region, with the purpose of providing input towards the development of the business plan for the Business Group. From a technical perspective, influences the development of the Business Group business plan.
- Lead and mentor the team.
- Accountable for organization of team, coordination of resourcing, managing project budgets and reporting to BGL.
- Develops, implements and enhances processes and procedures for own Business Group drawing on knowledge of local legislative requirements, global best practice.
- Consolidates and prioritizes solutions developed across different projects and clients, and leverages these for the benefit of the broader Region, or Project, or Service Line, and beyond. Solves complex / advanced problems by adopting a new perspective to identify solutions without the benefit of defined procedures.
- Would be called upon to be responsible for medium-sized projects in the role of Project Director.
- Identifies new product or service offerings to better meet the needs of existing clients or markets. Leads the development and submission of proposals for large or complex, high-risk projects, which may involve convincing internal and external stakeholders who at times may be unwilling or skeptical to accept proposals or plans. Is technically sought out both within GHD and from external national and/or international clients / industry bodies to act as a trusted advisor. Actively contributes to thought leadership as an industry leader (typically through papers published / regular conference speaking engagements). Is recognized within the Region / discipline as being highly technically capable and is regularly drawn on for technical knowledge by others.
- Leads and oversees the work of a large or complex project team to achieve project milestones and objectives; includes delegating assignments, ensuring compliance, setting priorities, reprioritizing as required, and monitoring progress.
- Communicates and contextualizes Region strategy and goals for a Business Group.
- works independently with minimal guidance from Supervisor or more senior team members.
