Tax and Accounting Associate

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day account maintenance, preparing receipts, payments, and journal vouchers.
• Managing banking transactions, bank reconciliation, and reconciliations of payable accounts.
• Effective cash flow management, budgeting, and analysis.
• Maintenance of petty cash transactions and statements.
• Oversight of the financial department, including Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Preparation of weekly and monthly sales reports.
• Support for team members on accounting issues.
• Assistance to Finance Manager in finalization of accounts.
• Handling internal and external audit work, resolving queries, and providing necessary documents.
• Client interaction, addressing queries, and maintaining client accounts.
• Petty cash management and daily deposit liaisons with banks.
• Support to Finance Manager for additional tasks as required.
• Preparation or assistance in preparing tax returns for individuals or small businesses.
• Guiding taxpayers on maximizing benefits within government regulations.
• Identifying potential deductions and credits, advising against tax liabilities.
  

Qualifications And Requirements

• Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance.
• Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant, or Chartered Management Accountant, or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA, CIMA).
• Recent work experience in the UAE market.
• Excellent understanding of Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Proficient in VAT and Tax Computations.
• Strong communication skills.
