Job Summary
Job Title: Speech Therapist
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech language voice and swallowing disorders in patients.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide direct therapy to patients to improve communication abilities and swallowing functions.
- Educate patients and families on exercises techniques and strategies to manage speech and language challenges.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress treatment plans and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and professional standards.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families during the treatment process.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in speech therapy.
- Monitor and manage therapy equipment ensuring all necessary tools are available for effective treatment.
Qualifications:
- DOH licensed Speech Therapist is a must.
- Bachelors degree in Speech and Language Pathology or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital clinic or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills in speech language and swallowing disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Arabic speaking will be an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a caseload of patients.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and relevant software.
- Knowledge of Abu Dhabi healthcare regulations and standards.
- Immediate availability preferred.
