Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Psychiatrist to join our mental health department at AKH Hospital Al Ain. The ideal candidate will bring extensive clinical experience cultural sensitivity and a patient-centered approach to psychiatric care.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders in adult and adolescent patients
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists social workers and primary care physicians
Provide crisis intervention and support for acute psychiatric cases
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations
Participate in hospital-wide mental health awareness initiatives and CME programs
Qualifications & Requirements
Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) Specialist Psychiatry qualification (MD Board Certification etc.)
Valid UAE license or eligibility for HAAD/DHA/MOH licensing
Minimum 8 years of clinical experience in psychiatry
Fluency in Arabic and English preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: AED per month
Additional Benefits: Housing allowance annual air ticket health insurance CME support and end-of-service benefits
