Social Worker
Job Summary
- Provide counseling and psychosocial support to patients and families dealing with medical emotional and social challenges.
- Assess patients social emotional and financial needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Act as a liaison between patients families healthcare providers and community resources.
- Support families in coping with long-term illnesses rehabilitation and end-of-life care.
- Assist in discharge planning and coordinate post-hospitalization services.
- Advocate for patients rights ensuring they receive adequate support and resources.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments interventions and referrals.
- Conduct awareness and educational sessions as part of holistic healthcare delivery.
- Adhere to ethical standards confidentiality and cultural sensitivity at all times.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Social Work or related field.
- Valid UAE professional license/registration or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a hospital or clinical setting including pediatric care exposure.
- Strong knowledge of psychosocial assessment counseling techniques and care coordination.
- Excellent communication problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
