Senior Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary
What Youll Do
Commercial Management
- Lead the commercial administration of major trade packages throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare review and negotiate interim valuations variations claims and final accounts.
- Manage subcontractor accounts payment certifications and back-charge recovery.
- Monitor package performance against budget and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Support cost forecasting budgeting and monthly commercial reporting.
Contract Administration
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and commercial procedures.
- Evaluate contractual changes and assess their commercial impact.
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution through accurate commercial records and documentation.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary commercial interface with clients consultants subcontractors and internal stakeholders for assigned packages.
- Represent the company during valuation meetings and commercial negotiations.
Leadership & Mentoring
- Provide guidance and supervision to Quantity Surveyors and Junior Quantity Surveyors.
- Review commercial outputs and ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables.
- Promote commercial best practices across project teams.
Qualifications :
What We Need From You
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- MRICS (or equivalent professional accreditation) is strongly preferred.
- Masters Degree is advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of Quantity Surveying experience within large-scale building civil or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing major trade packages independently.
- Strong background in variations claims final accounts subcontract management and cost control.
- Experience managing large steel façade and complex construction packages is highly preferred.
- GCC experience is advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract and commercial practices.
- Advanced cost management and forecasting capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial management systems.
- Excellent analytical negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
