Senior Project Manager pre contract, buildings and engineering

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager specializing in pre-contract activities for buildings and engineering projects to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. This key role will be responsible for overseeing the critical early stages of major construction and engineering projects ensuring a solid foundation for successful project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage pre-contract activities for complex building and engineering projects
• Develop and review project scopes timelines and budgets
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
• Negotiate and manage contracts with clients contractors and suppliers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with organizational goals
• Oversee the preparation of tender documents and bid evaluations
• Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies
• Ensure compliance with local building codes regulations and international standards
• Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Mentor and develop junior project team members

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in project management with a focus on pre-contract activities
• Proven track record in managing large-scale building and engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
• Excellent contract negotiation and management skills
• Proficiency in budgeting cost estimation and financial analysis
• Advanced risk assessment and management capabilities
• Experience working in the Middle East construction industry
• In-depth knowledge of UAE building codes and regulations
• Understanding of international construction standards and practices
• Familiarity with sustainable building practices and LEED certification
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project Primavera)
• Exceptional leadership communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multicultural environment
