Senior Production Engineer
Role Summary
Provides senior-level assessment of well deliverability operability production risks and optimization potential during asset screening. Ensures that individual well and field-level production profiles used for valuation are realistic operable and risk-adjusted.
Key Responsibilities
- May perform nodal analysis using industry software such as PROSPER PIPESIM and others. Estimate achievable rates under realistic operating constraints when required.
- Identifying and document production-related risks for the asset risk register (water/gas breakthrough sand integrity artificial lift flow assurance). Should be able to sift through production and well history databases to pinpoint common issues seen in mature fields.
- Defining uptime assumptions intervention frequency and key OPEX drivers.
- Identifying debottlenecking recompletion lift optimization and workover opportunities.
- Reviewing well files completion histories production data and intervention records.
- Aligning production assumptions with reservoir forecasts and facilities capacities. Work closely with Reservoir Engineer on the assumptions and ensure risks are relayed to the Team Lead proficiently.
Qualifications
- BSc in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
- 15 years production engineering experience across operated and non-operated assets.
- Deep expertise in nodal analysis artificial lift well interventions and flow assurance.
- Strong ability to translate operational realities into screening-level assumptions.
