Senior Offshore Pipeline Designer

• Administrative management of pipeline designers, draftsmen and CAD operators.
• Ensuring the pipeline drawings generations are progressing efficiently to maintain project schedule without compromising quality.
• Prepare basic reports e.g. pipeline routing reports, site visit reports etc.
• Coordination with surveyor to ensure the quality of drawings required for design is provided by surveyor.
• Providing the pipeline lead engineer with reliable progress status on drawing issues and pending points.
• Ensure efficient and economical design in accordance with standard engineering practice.
• Proactively identify/ foresee bottlenecks and implement solutions to mitigate the problem.
• Pro-active participation to identify potential drafting improvements to cope with project objectives in terms of design and drafting resources.
• Provide necessary inputs to lead engineer or Pipeline Head of Discipline on the design and drafting issues.
  
  

About You

We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

• Hold a degree/diploma in Civil/Mechanical engineering.
• Must have minimum of 15 years of pipeline design experience in offshore projects. Out of the 15 years of experience, 10 years must be in the offshore pipeline drawing generation.
• Preferably have 3 years of working experience in the Gulf and knowledge on the ADNOC group Drawing Office Procedure (DOP).
• Past experience working in different phases of project e.g. Concept, FEED and EPC.
• Must be well versed with preparing comment resolutions for pipeline drawings.
• Can work independently & possess good time management skills.
• Pro-active, co-operative, possess good communication and analytical skills
• Possess leadership skill to lead group of designers, draftsmen and CAD operators.
• Must possess good communication skills; both verbal and written. Candidate may be required to attend meetings within the COMPANY and with clients to discuss various topics related to pipeline drafting.
• Must have a sound working experience in AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.
• Working experience with Arc GIS software is an added advantages.
