Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Company based in Head Office to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience (5 years) working as an Accountant or Senior Accountant in a corporate or public accounting environment.
KEY SKILLS
Financial Management:
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and transactions.
- Conduct regular financial audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
- Monitor financial performance and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
Develop and implement financial controls and processes to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
General Accounting:
- Perform complex accounting tasks such as reconciliations journal entries accounts payable and receivable and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies in all financial activities.
- Review and approve accounting transactions and reports prepared by junior accounting staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of financial transactions and processes.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis including profitability analysis cost analysis and trend analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
