Job Summary

Expected Salary- 5,000 - 7,000 AED

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee key financial operations, including account reconciliations, MIS reporting, tax compliance, and management of accounts receivable and payable. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial records, compliance with statutory regulations, and timely reporting to support strategic decision-making. Experience within the Travel, Insurance, or Banking industries is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reconciliation of accounts

• Perform monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, Insurance Company, general ledger, intercompany accounts, and balance sheet items.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

2. MIS & Financial Reporting

• Prepare and present monthly MIS reports, Agent Report, Cost Benefit Analysis Report against budgets and forecasts.
• Develop dashboards and financial summaries for management.
• Assist in Monthly/ Quarterly/ Annual Closing of Financial Books

3. Tax Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations, including VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Prepare and review VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and other statutory submissions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws and implement necessary adjustments.
• Maintain proper documentation for tax audits.

4. Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Oversee customer invoicing, collections, and aging analysis.
• Monitor credit limits and ensure adherence to company credit policies.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Prepare periodic AR aging reports and follow up on overdue balances.

5. Accounts Payable (AP)

• Supervise vendor invoice processing and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and approval workflows.

6. Compliance & Controls

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and IFRS standards.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Total Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience in the Accounts & Finance department within the Travel, Insurance, or Banking industry.
• Regional Experience: Hands-on experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax is highly desirable.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Expertise in account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including:
• Microsoft Excel: Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, data validation etc.
• Microsoft Outlook: Professional email management, calendar coordination, and task tracking.
• Microsoft Word: Preparation of professional financial reports and documentation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Praktora, Premier, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Timely completion of monthly reconciliations.
• Accuracy and punctuality of MIS reports.
• Compliance with VAT and Corporate Tax filing deadlines.
• Timely processing of payables and optimized cash flow.
• Successful completion of internal and external audits.
