Job Summary

Take concepts and ideas from brief or discussion and translate them into accurate detailed 3D models ready for production

Scale and adapt designs to fit specific size space or functional requirements without compromising structural integrity or design intent

Prepare and optimise 3D models for printing ensuring designs are structurally sound and print-ready across different materials and scales

Operate and manage both small desktop and large-format 3D printers handling setup calibration and maintenance

Troubleshoot print failures material issues and hardware faults to minimise downtime and waste

Post-process printed parts including sanding finishing assembly and quality checking

Work closely with the engineering and product team to iterate on designs based on feedback and real-world testing

Maintain an organised library of 3D files versions and print settings for internal reference

Requirements

Proven experience as a 3D Designer with a strong portfolio of modelled and printed work

Proficient in 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks Fusion 360 Rhino Blender or similar

Hands-on experience operating both desktop and large-format 3D printers (FDM SLA or similar technologies)

Strong understanding of print parameters slicing software and material properties

Ability to scale and modify designs to meet specific dimensional or functional constraints

Ability to take a rough idea or concept and independently develop it into a finished functional model

Keen eye for detail proportion and structural integrity

Good communication skills in English
