Previous experience: Experience in the security field is preferred, whether as a security employee or in a similar supervisory position.
Education and Training: Some companies or organizations may require certification in security or security management, but field experience may sometimes make up for the lack of certification.

Technical knowledge: Good understanding of the systems and technology used in the security field such as electronic security monitoring and reporting systems.
