Job Summary
The Sales Manager Middle East & Africa (MEA) is responsible for driving profitable growth developing strategic customer relationships and expanding market share across the MEA region for the companys monolithic refractory product portfolio. The role leads a team of salespeoples and works closely with operations technical services product management and key industry stakeholders to deliver sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Business Development
Develop and implement the regional sales strategy aligned with the companys global objectives.
Identify new business opportunities and growth segments across steel cement non-ferrous metals petrochemical power generation and other high-temperature industrial markets.
Drive sales growth and profitability for the monolithic refractories product range.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers distributors contractors and industry partners.
Negotiate commercial agreements and manage major contract discussions.
Monitor market trends competitor activities and customer requirements to identify opportunities and risks.
Team Leadership & Management
Lead coach and develop a sales team located across the MEA region.
Establish clear objectives performance indicators and development plans for team members.
Foster a high-performance customer-focused culture.
Support succession planning talent development and employee engagement initiatives.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration across regional and global teams.
Customer & Technical Support
Collaborate with technical service teams to ensure successful implementation of refractory solutions.
Support key customer projects shutdowns and technical evaluations.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnership development.
Promote value-added solutions and differentiate the companys offerings through technical expertise and service excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with manufacturing supply chain product management R&D and finance teams to support business objectives.
Participate in product launches and strategic growth initiatives.
Contribute to regional and global business planning processes.
Profile/Competencies:
Qualification and Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering Materials Science Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum 10-14 years of experience in refractory materials industrial minerals or related industrial sectors.
Proven sales management experience within the Middle East and Africa region.
Strong knowledge of monolithic refractories and their applications in high-temperature industries.
Demonstrated success in managing distributors direct sales channels and key accounts.
Experience leading and developing multicultural teams.
Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills.
Excellent communication presentation and relationship management abilities.
Fluency in English is required; additional regional languages are considered an advantage.
Travel Requirements
Frequent travel throughout the Middle East and Africa region (approximately 30%).
Participation in customer visits industry events trade exhibitions and regional business reviews.
