QAQC Engineer – Mechanical

Location: Dubai

The QA/QC Engineer Mechanical is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical construction installation fabrication and commissioning activities comply with approved drawings project specifications applicable codes and standards and client quality requirements. The role involves inspection documentation coordination with project teams and implementation of quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System in line with ISO and client requirements
  

• Review and approve mechanical drawings specifications method statements ITPs and procedures
  

• Conduct inspections for mechanical works including piping structural steel tanks pressure vessels rotating and static equipment
  

• Monitor fabrication installation welding and testing activities to ensure compliance with approved standards
  

• Coordinate and witness NDT activities (RT UT PT MT) and review test results
  

• Ensure welding activities comply with approved WPS PQR and welder qualifications
  

• Prepare and maintain inspection reports NCRs punch lists and quality records
  

• Liaise with clients consultants third-party inspectors and subcontractors on quality matters
  

• Participate in internal audits quality meetings and site inspections
  

• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities from a QA/QC perspective
  

• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed effectively
  

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  

• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant QA/QC experience in mechanical works
  

• Prior experience in UAE / Middle East projects preferred
  

• Certification in CSWIP / AWS / ASNT Level II (RT UT MT PT) is an advantage
  

• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME API ASTM ISO)
  

• Experience in piping systems welding inspection pressure testing and mechanical installations
  

• Proficiency in reviewing ITPs method statements drawings and quality documentation
  

• Familiarity with project quality documentation and handover dossiers
  

• Good understanding of HSE and QA/QC compliance requirements
  

• Strong coordination reporting and documentation skills
  

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection activities
