Operations Manager

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Provide effective leadership to the Service Centre, guaranteeing optimal operational performance and sustained profitability.
• Supervise the operations team to surpass budgeted performance, attain margins, and streamline costs. Cultivate efficient communication to maximise profitability, utilisation, and customer satisfaction.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, challenging conventional approaches to attain operational excellence. Implement Lean and other process improvement techniques to refine performance.
• Ensure proficient commercial management, minimising risks, and adhering to commercial terms. Coordinate the resolution of warranty issues, actively participate in compliance initiatives, and uphold awareness of legal, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the team in alignment with Sulzer Values and Behaviours. Encourage teamwork, foster accountability, and ensure the appropriate blend of competencies to meet business requirements.
  

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Prior experience in a similar role with P&L responsibility.
• Services aftermarket experience and knowledge of quality assurance issues related to motors, generators, and associated equipment.
• Working knowledge of prevailing legal, health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Demonstrated use of continuous improvement/process improvement techniques (Lean, 5S, etc.).
• Track record of delivering business transformation and in-depth understanding of KPIs.
