Job Description

1. Merchant Partnerships and Acquisitions:

Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new highvalue merchant partners for the companys payment processing services.

Leverage extensive industry connections and relationships to identify qualify and onboard premium merchants across various verticals.

Manage the full lifecycle of merchant acquisition including prospecting presentations contract negotiations and onboarding.

Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets for new merchant acquisition and revenue generation.

2. Merchant Relationship Management:

Serve as the trusted advisor to prospective and existing merchant partners understanding their pain points and delivering tailored solutions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decisionmakers at target merchant accounts through regular checkins and valueadded support.

Work crossfunctionally with teams in sales operations underwriting and account management to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing service delivery.

3. Strategic Insights and Execution:

Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and industry opportunities to drive new merchant acquisition.

Provide feedback and insights to company leadership to help shape the overall merchant acquisition strategy.

CrossFunctional Collaboration:

Work closely with teams in Finance Operations Marketing and Engineering to support merchant acquisition and partnership initiatives.



Requirements

5 years of proven experience in merchant/partner acquisition in the payments fintech or financial services industry.

Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales quotas and growing a portfolio of highvalue merchant accounts.

Exceptional consultative sales skills with the ability to navigate complex decisionmaking processes.

Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.

Excellent communication presentation and relationshipbuilding skills.

Thorough understanding of the payments ecosystem and merchant service offerings.

Bachelors degree in business finance marketing or a related field.
