Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Transcriptionist who is responsible for transcribing dictated recordings from healthcare professionals into written reports documents and records. This role requires strong attention to detail excellent listening skills and a thorough understanding of medical terminology.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe dictated recordings from healthcare professionals into written reports documents and records
- Edit and proofread transcriptions for accuracy and completeness
- Verify and correct medical terminology diagnoses and procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Utilize transcription software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Meet productivity and quality standards for transcription services
Requirements and Skills
- Education: Post-secondary education in medical transcription or a related field
- Certifications: Certification in medical transcription (RMT CMT or RHDS) preferred
- Experience: Previous experience in medical transcription or a related field
- Skills:
