Job Summary
Logistics & expediting officer (offshore Oil & Gas)
Position to report: Supply Chain Manager
Job Purpose:
Expediting in connection with Suppliers and Freight Forwarders all around the word
Importation & Exportation & equipment transfer activities in UAE
Responsibilities:
Monitor and track the delivery status of shipments from overseas to the UAE.
Keep the status of goods & services delivery updated in the company ERP (SAP)
Verify and ensure the accuracy of import documentation for shipments entering the UAE.
Oversee and coordinate import operations with the appointed agent to ensure smooth customs clearance.
Track the status of imported goods once they have arrived in the UAE ensuring timely delivery to the designated locations.
Manage and oversee transfers between free zones within the UAE ensuring compliance with regulations.
Supervise and manage the clearance processes for project vessels ensuring adherence to all relevant protocols.
Follow up on Inward Processing files ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed until reexportation.
Coordinate the reexportation of assembled assets ensuring timely and compliant shipments to international destinations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to resolve any logistical or customsrelated issues.
Ensure full compliance with UAE import/export regulations and maintain uptodate knowledge of changes in logistics laws.
Requirements:
Formal education: bachelors degree in business administration or supply Chain Management or Operations Management or Logistics
Engineer profiles are a plus.
Professional experience (in years): minimum of 10 years experience in logistics & expediting in the UAE in the Oil & Gas industry.
Good knowledge of international environmental standards.
Responsibility Natural Authority decision making good communication skill organisation and method.
Fluent English
Demonstrate strong organizational skills attention to detail and mastery of Excel to manage complex logistics data efficiently
A previous experience in a Freight Forwarding company in UAE is a plus
