Junior PRODUCT ENGINEER - AUTOMOBILE

Reporting To: Product Development Manager

We are in search for a suitable team member who is into automotive parts development. Experienced into vehicle parts development for both aesthetic & utility products will be an ideal candidate.

Experience: 3-4 Years

Salary: 8000-10000 AED

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with Product Development team to finalize product ideas.

2. Check product installation feasibility and prepare design of the product accordingly.

3. Convert Images or Sketches or Drawings to 3D model.

4. Create 3D model based on the scan data (Mesh file / STL File).

5. Convert 3D simulation to Actual Engineered Product including A surface & B surface creation.

6. Create detailed 2D Drawings as per Automotive industry standards and customer requirements.

7. Define Product Material of each kit components.

8. Prepare Installation Manual of the products.

9. Justify the design performance with the help of CAD tools. For e.g. FEA Analysis

Skills:

1. Understanding of Automotive Interior and Exterior Parts Engineering and installation.

(example Bumpers, interior trim panels, lighting etc.)

1. Understanding of Automotive Standards and Regulations for designing genuine vehicle components

2. Able to do Reverse Engineering from Scan data or physical part. (Mesh to CAD / STL to STP or IGES).

3. Knowledge of materials (Plastics and Metal) and its manufacturing processes.

4. Able to predict expected failures in production or on field and manage to make changes during design phase.

Qualification: Diploma / BE - Automotive/Mechanical

Experience: 3-4 years in product engineering

MUST

1. Proficient in 3D CAD Softwares Ex- AutoCAD / SOLIDWORKS / RHINO / NX

/ CATIA.

1. Product DFMEA

Added Advantages:

• Automotive Lighting, Harness routing and Electronics Product knowledge

• 3D Scanning Technology

• 3D printing technology
