Job Description

A In Room Dining Manager for Conrad Dubai, you will be responsible for managing room service operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A In Room Dining Manager will also be required to manage, train, and develop team members and optimise sales and control costs. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Maintain the companies’ standards in food, service and cleanliness.
  • Ensure that a efficient, friendly, courteous and consistent service is provided at all times.
  • Ensure that you are fully knowledgeable of the Room Service menu, including the wine list and the food & beverage menu in order to provide detailed information (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies).
  • Coordinate the communication between front of the house and back of the house staff.
  • Follow up on diner’s experience in order to make sure the guests are enjoying their meals and to be able to correct any issues or complains if there are any.
  • Maintain up to date with trends, competitor checks, and service enhancements
  • Ensure inventories of all operating equipment, beverage and other items are tally at all times.
  • Must follow all cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Attend all mandatory trainings.
  • Lead the daily team briefings and attend Fod & Beverage meetings and contribute to these meetings
  • To be able to receive complaints and resolve problems.
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records.
  • Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa.
  • Prepare and submit performance reports of all team members on a timely manner.
  • Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues.
  • Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Gather guests’ feedback and give ideas/recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Supervise Room Service and Minibar Team and provide assistance as needed.
  • Coach and guide current team members and to be able to train new joiners by monitoring their productivity and providing constructive feedback.
  • Treat everyone with respect and build a good working relationship throughout all departments.
  • Maintain high levels of communication and teamwork at all times.
