JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title HSE Manager Department Health Safety & Environment Location JAFZA Warehouse & Head Office Complex Dubai UAE Reports To General Manager / Director - Operations Direct Reports HSE Officers / Safety Supervisors Grade Management Employment Type Full Time Version 1.0 Position Purpose To lead and manage all Health Safety Environmental Fire Safety and Regulatory Compliance activities across the JAFZA Warehouse and Head Office Complex ensuring full compliance with JAFZA Trakhees-EHS Dubai Civil Defense and UAE regulatory requirements while fostering a proactive safety culture. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all applicable JAFZA Trakhees-EHS Dubai Civil Defense and UAE HSE regulations. Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities. Lead risk assessments HIRA JSA and Safe Work Procedures. Manage warehouse safety programs including forklift operations racking safety loading bays battery charging areas contractor management and hazardous materials handling. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills. Manage environmental compliance waste management and sustainability initiatives. Deliver HSE training inductions and awareness campaigns. Lead internal and external audits and maintain compliance documentation. Authority & Accountability Stop unsafe work activities. Escalate regulatory and compliance risks to management. Recommend disciplinary action for repeated safety violations. Approve HSE procedures risk assessments and safety permits within delegated authority. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Engineering Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science or related discipline. Experience Minimum 810 years of HSE experience including at least 5 years in a managerial role. Experience within JAFZA logistics warehousing or distribution environments is mandatory.
