Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Senior Service Designer (Strategic Planning) to join their team.

The Senior Service Designer is responsible for driving human-centred design and innovation practices across shared services including discovery workshops, interview facilitation, user research and story mapping to support the development of organisation-wide design capabilities to continue to progress customer-centric service design, delivery, and improvement.

Working closely with the Lead Service Designer, this role manages cross agency and external stakeholder input to inform pilot design and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the delivery of end-to-end service design initiatives to support the development of customer-centric solutions across the shared-services model.
   
2. Generate ideas that translate into multiple concepts, sketches, scenarios and prototypes to test, inspire and communicate which consider both the customer and frontline team impact and design and deliver artefacts including design principles, current state maps, future state journey maps and blueprints.
   
3. Identify and communicate opportunities that create business value based on user research, heuristics and best practice and develop visually compelling frameworks, process/screen flows and wireframes to drive service re-design.
   

Selection Criteria:

1. Tertiary Qualifications in design, user experience or equivalent and/or strong demonstrated service design experience including research, concept development, experimentation, prototyping, facilitation and change management.
   

2. Ideally someone who has existing experience working in the department and has existing networks they can build on to support the delivery.

1. Successful candidate will drive related initiatives for 2023 including recruitment of schools and design of school specific funding, delivery, and regulatory models.
   
2. Demonstrated visualisation techniques such as journey mapping, storytelling and service mapping
   

WFH Flexibility, the team is currently in the office 1 day a week (could be subject to change)

On offer is a 6-month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate
