Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading diversified oil & gas services group with operations across the UAE delivering integrated solutions to the energy sector. The Group is seeking an experienced Group General Counsel to provide strategic legal leadership safeguard the organizations interests and support business growth across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the principal legal advisor to the Board Group CEO and executive leadership.
- Lead the Groups legal strategy governance and corporate compliance framework.
- Oversee complex commercial contracts service agreements joint ventures M&A transactions and strategic partnerships.
- Advise on corporate structuring cross-border operations and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage litigation disputes arbitration and external legal counsel.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws corporate governance standards and risk management practices.
- Support business expansion initiatives while balancing commercial objectives with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Build and lead a high-performing legal function driving best practices and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Law (LLB); Masters degree (LLM) or equivalent legal qualification preferred.
- Proven experience as General Counsel or senior legal leader within an oil & gas group.
- 15 years of experience in corporate law commercial contracting M&A governance compliance dispute resolution and cross-border legal matters.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and provide commercially focused legal advice.
- Experience managing legal teams across multiple business units and jurisdictions.
- Excellent leadership negotiation communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory.
