Food Quality Hygiene Officer

• Inspection of raw materials, chemicals and food samples and raise non conformance with timely and accurate record keeping.
• Conduct daily hygiene and sanitation audit of the receiving, dispatch, production and storage areas and take necessary actions to address noncompliance and training needs.
• Monitor pest control, temperature, humidity, cleanliness in the goods inward and goods outward areas, preparation and production sections, warehouse, chillers / cold storage areas and chiller vans.
• Audit vendors’ food safety systems for compliance and report on performance.
• Carry out investigations, reports on findings and implement and follow up on corrective measures.
• Carry out training programs for colleagues and follow up on training requirements – personal hygiene, food and material handling and storage, sanitation and risk awareness.
• Periodically review health, safety and food quality systems and procedures in line with mandatory requirements and changes in production processes to mitigate risks and food safety hazards.
• Ensure all equipment is in working order - calibration of thermometers and weighing scales.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 4+ years’ UAE experience in food safety in food production – preferably in meat, poultry, seafood and bakery.
• Food Safety Management System knowledge - ISO 22000 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / FSSC 22000 / HACCP / OHSA, QMS and Halal.
• Working knowledge of Dubai Municipality HSE&Q standards related to food safety and hygiene.
• Working knowledge of Dubai Municipality Halal meat standards.
• Experience in preparing flow diagrams for each product and process in food production to ensure that all employees are adhering to the requirements.
• Proficient us of MS Office and report writing.

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or food technology or microbiology.
• Lead auditor qualifications in food safety - HACCP Level 4 / Food Safety Level 4
