- Managing the Finance team.
- Providing effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial, and financial targets are delivered.
- Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams.
- Responsible for the management and integrity of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
- Responsible for supervising the formal balance sheet review cycle.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing activities as per policies and procedures, maintain, and reconcile General Ledger accounts ensuring quality and efficiency in the deliverables.
- Oversee the day to day accounting processes, and effective management of the payables, receivables and the chart of accounts ensuring that proper books of accounts are maintained for effective financial control in accord with corporate standards and local statutory requirements.
- Ensure monthly cashflow forecasts are updated for next three months with intercompany balances settled on a timely basis and communicate surplus or deficit funds to leadership team.
- Supervise customer billing, credit clearance and collection procedures to ensure adherence with established financial policies and support effective cash flow management.
- Motivate subordinates and identify opportunities for continuous improvement of financial and accounting operations and systems, processes and practices considering automation, international leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Provide objective financial advice and opinions that positively impact the future choices of the business.
- Analyze financial information to produce business forecasts, taking into consideration conditions relevant to the business.
- Being able to effectively identify and minimize risks faced by the business through working closely with the operations and through review and understanding of financial and commercial information.
- Develop and Manage Financial Strategic Planning and Budgeting models used during annual budget and future analysis of business growth plans.
- Drive the preparation of annual budgeting and monthly forecasting (P&L, BS and Cashflow forecast)
