Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Field Officer specializing in Data Management, with a strong background in agriculture and proficiency in MS Excel. As a Field Officer, your primary responsibility will be to collect, organize, and manage agricultural data, ensuring its accuracy and accessibility. Your expertise in data management and MS Excel will be crucial in maintaining data integrity and supporting decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection: Conduct field visits to collect relevant agricultural data, including crop yields, soil samples, irrigation schedules, pest and disease occurrences, and other related information.
2. Data Entry and Organization: Enter collected data into the system accurately and ensure proper organization and categorization of data for easy retrieval and analysis.
3. Database Maintenance: Develop and maintain a comprehensive database system to store and manage agricultural data, ensuring data integrity, security, and backup.
4. Data Cleaning and Validation: Perform data cleaning and validation procedures to identify and rectify any errors or inconsistencies in the collected data.
5. Data Analysis: Utilize MS Excel to analyse and summarize agricultural data, generate reports, and present key findings to stakeholders.
6. Report Generation: Prepare regular reports based on the analysed data, highlighting trends, patterns, and insights to support decision-making processes.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including agronomists, researchers, and project managers, to ensure seamless data flow and integration with other systems.
8. Training and Support: Provide training and support to field staff on data collection methods, data entry protocols, and effective use of MS Excel for data management and analysis.
9. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards and protocols.
10. Stay Updated: Stay informed about the latest advancements in agricultural practices, data management techniques, and relevant technologies to propose improvements in data collection and analysis processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data management, preferably in an agricultural setting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions such as data manipulation, formulae, charts/graphs, and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and summarize complex agricultural data.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of agricultural practices, crop management, and rural environments.
• Familiarity with database management systems and other data analysis tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in field settings and adapt to changing work environments.

Salary AED 3000-5000 + Food + accommodation + Transport + Visa + medical insurance
