Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Façade BIM Modeler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field with a strong background in Façade BIM design. This role requires proficiency in essential software such as Revit Rhino and Grasshopper with a bonus for expertise in Python Tekla and Dynamo.
The Façade BIM Engineer is responsible for developing coordinating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for façade systems across various project stages from concept design to construction documentation. The role requires strong technical knowledge of façade systems proficiency in BIM authoring tools and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate digital representation and integration of the façade works within the overall project model.
Responsibilities:
Develop update and maintain façade BIM models in Revit (or equivalent BIM software).
Create detailed façade families parametric components and system assemblies.
Ensure models are accurate consistent and aligned with project BIM execution plans.
Generate coordinated façade drawings schedules and fabrication details directly from BIM models.
Utilize Rhino and Grasshopper to develop parametric and algorithmic solutions for complex structural and façade design challenges.
Develop computational design solutions and tools for façade and structural systems. Computational design processes to be used across projects in Façade and Structural designs to optimize work quality and time.
Work closely with architects engineers and other design professionals to integrate computational design methodologies into the overall design process.
Implement computational design solutions within the Revit environment ensuring seamless collaboration and information exchange across the design team.
Contribute to the design and optimization of innovative façade systems considering performance aesthetics and sustainability.
Create prototypes models and pre-visualizations of computational design methods to guide design processes and decision-making within the team from early design stages.
Prepare clear and concise documentation of computational design processes parameters and workflows for internal and external communication.
Requirements:
Bachelors or masters degree in architecture Structural Engineering or Computational Design.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in façade BIM design with a focus on structures and façade systems.
Portfolio demonstrating 3D BIM modelling capabilities up to LOD 350.
Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit Navisworks and similar tools.
Time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to understand technical drawings and plans. Keen attention to details.
Proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper is essential.
Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills. Commitment to the team maintains positive working relationships with diverse people including internal team and external partners.
Bonus: Experience with Python scripting for design automation. Familiarity with Tekla and Dynamo for enhanced structural capabilities.
