•Roadmap definition and UX Design Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear vision and digital design strategy for user experience and user interface design that aligns with the organization's business goals and objectives. The role holder owns the Digital Design roadmap catered to the e& Groups UAE business and covers Consumer portfolios – across both web and app.

•User Experience (UX) Design: The Director of Digital Design oversees the UX design process, ensuring that user-centric design principles are applied to create seamless and intuitive digital experiences. They collaborate with UX researchers, product managers, and developers to translate user insights into effective design solutions. The scope covers web, mobile responsive web , native APP and digital interfaces for all e& UAE entities.

•Visual Design and Branding: They drive the visual design direction, ensuring consistency with the organization's brand guidelines and design standards. They ensure that digital designs are visually appealing, engaging, and aligned with the overall brand identity to drive ROUX (return on UX)

•User Research: Plan and conduct user research activities to gain insights into user behaviors, needs, and preferences. Utilize research findings to inform the design process and drive user-centric decision-making. This enables distinct identity for consumer entities like Etisalat and FIVE which cater for different audiences.

•Design Innovation and Emerging Technologies: The Director of Digital Design keeps abreast of the latest design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. They explore innovative design approaches & technologies to enhance the digital competitiveness of e&.

•Usability Testing and Iterative Design: Implement usability testing methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of design solutions. Gather feedback from users and iterate designs based on user insights and testing results to continually improve the user experience.

•Design System and Guidelines: Establish and maintain a design system and guidelines that ensure consistency and cohesion across all digital products and platforms. Promote design standards, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to streamline the design process and enhance efficiency.

•Accessibility and Inclusivity: Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity in design, ensuring that digital products are usable by people with disabilities and diverse user groups. Stay updated on accessibility guidelines and industry standards to create inclusive user experiences.

•Leadership and Team Management: They lead and manage a team of digital designers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support. They ensure the team has the necessary skills, resources, and tools to deliver high-quality digital design solutions across Consumer portfolios

•Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, development, and product management, to align digital design initiatives with business requirements. They effectively communicate design concepts, strategies, and recommendations to stakeholders including C Suite management , gaining their buy-in and support.

Performance Measurement and Improvement: They establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and impact of digital design initiatives.
