Director of Engineering JAVA

• Oversee front-end & back-end development teams and projects, focusing towards Product Delivery
• Design strategies for future development projects based on the company’s objectives and resources
• Cooperate withProduct leadership to execute on Product Roadmap.
• Lead the engineering team to size and deliver on time the necessary items in the Backlog.
• Challenge Engineers and Product members to ensure the team understand the value created
• Contribute to the Engineering technical roadmap to ensure systems are scaling as per the functional needs increase.
• Ensure technical scalability and system performance are part of the overall team mindset.
• Manage Engineering teams including staffing of the needed technical members as well as managerial members.

Experience / Background

• 10+ years exp. with 3/5 years as a Head of/Director of Engineering in a Product Software company
• leading high performing engineering teams in aB2B space with a Java stack
• You arepragmatic, and willing (and able) to take a “hands on approach” to all engineering aspects
• Includingstrategy, planning, design, specification, and research.
• You have worked in fast growing organizations.
• You have had experience indelivering software-as-a-service (SaaS)
• Strong technical background with solid software design skills and you have migrated towards management and leadership.
• Worked inAgile environments with associated tools like JIRA and Confluence
• International background and experience is mandatory.
• Computer Science - education

• Experience is large scale of 3rd party API integration - MUST
• Detailed knowledge of airline distribution including - MUST
• NDC, Pricing, Sales Offer Creation, Ancillaries and Airline Retailing - MUST
• Knowledge of data science, machine learning and data modeling - PLUS
