Digital content and Creative Media Manager
Job Summary
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Communications and Media Department is seeking a Digital Content and Creative Media Manager who will be responsible for managing the central creative services related activities including the design and delivery of visual content coordination of creative support related to institutional initiatives and governance of multimedia assets to ensure brand consistency audience engagement and alignment with the Universitys strategic objectives applicable standards policies and procedures.
TheDigital Content and Creative Media Manager will lead the planning creative development and execution of university events campaigns and experiential activations that enhance Zayed Universitys brand reputation student experience and stakeholder engagement. The role oversees the end-to-end management of institutional events while ensuring consistent visual identity innovative experiences and alignment with the Universitys strategic objectives.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic & Financial
Formulate and lead the effective execution of the Sections plans to ensure seamless operations that contribute to the achievement of the organisations performance objectives.
Develop and implement the annual Creative Services and Events strategy aligned with Zayed Universitys strategic priorities and brand objectives.
Lead the planning of the Universitys events portfolio ensuring optimal allocation of resources budgets and creative capabilities.
Establish strategic partnerships and engagement opportunities that strengthen the Universitys reputation and stakeholder relationships.
Ensure the timely provision of data and reports to the direct supervisor and recommend operational improvements to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Report any potential risks or operational roadblocks and recommend mitigation strategies to minimise interruptions and ensure timely achievement of objectives and targets.
Consolidate all budget inputs from the reporting team within the Section to formulate the overall Section budget and submit to the direct supervisor for review and further consolidation.
Manage the budget across the Section to ensure full adherence to approved plans highlight any deviations in a timely manner and take corrective action in line with the approved governance process.
Operational
Manage the design and production of multimedia content including graphics videos photography and digital assets while ensuring alignment with institutional requirements.
Monitor project timelines quality standards and resource allocation to ensure efficient creative project delivery.
Oversee the creative development and cross-functional coordination of institutional events and activations ensuring consistent brand representation audience engagement and successful delivery in collaboration with the relevant operational stakeholders.
Develop event themes concepts creative narratives visual identities and audience engagement strategies for institutional events and activations.
Oversee the design and production of branding assets stage visuals presentations digital content signage exhibitions and experiential elements.
Align creative outputs with communication strategies in collaboration with the concerned functions.
Ensure compliance with institutional guidelines copyright standards and digital accessibility requirements across all creative outputs.
Manage the maintenance and organisation of the internal content library and creative asset repository to ensure accessibility and proper usage.
Manage the collaboration with the concerned functions to execute creative campaigns that support institutional priorities and enhance audience engagement.
Manage the evaluation and implementation of new design tools multimedia technologies and creative workflows to improve production efficiency and visual impact across all platforms.
Perform ad-hoc activities related to the job duties as requested by the direct supervisor.
People Management
Finalise and consolidate workforce planning reports talent acquisition strategies and budgets at the Section level to ensure adequate staffing for optimal operational efficiency and submit to the direct supervisor for approval.
Set performance management objectives for all reportees and perform mid-year and year-end performance reviews monitor performance and provide ad-hoc guidance as needed to ensure objectives are met.
Identify talent for pivotal roles from a succession management standpoint to ensure business continuity and liaise with HR to facilitate enrollment in relevant programmes.
Provide guidance to reportees on people management matters offer mentoring and coaching as needed to ensure they are professionally and behaviourally equipped to meet operational requirements.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Masters degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience and at least 6 years in a managerial position.
PhD with a minimum of 8 years of experience and at least 4 years in a managerial position.
- Certification in a relevant field is preferred.
