Dairy Engineer Abu Dhabi

Our client a leading agricultural and dairy production company in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Dairy Engineer to oversee the operation maintenance and optimization of dairy processing equipment and production systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient safe and high-quality dairy manufacturing processes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the production facility.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of dairy processing equipment utilities and production systems with experience in the agricultural or food manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate maintain and troubleshoot dairy processing equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
  
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for dairy processing machinery.
  
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality food safety and hygiene standards.
  
• Support the installation commissioning and validation of new processing equipment and production lines.
  
• Analyze equipment performance and recommend process improvements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.
  
• Coordinate with production quality assurance maintenance and engineering teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
  
• Ensure compliance with HACCP GMP ISO 22000 and food safety regulations.
  
• Monitor utilities including refrigeration steam boilers chilled water systems compressed air and CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems.
  
• Develop maintenance schedules SOPs equipment manuals and technical documentation.
  
• Liaise with equipment suppliers and service providers for repairs upgrades and spare parts procurement.
  
• Participate in continuous improvement automation and energy efficiency initiatives.
  
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with health safety and environmental standards.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Dairy Engineering Mechanical Engineering Agricultural Engineering Food Engineering or a related discipline.
  
• Minimum 58 years of experience in dairy manufacturing dairy processing or food production engineering.
  
• Experience working in a dairy processing plant milk production facility or agricultural manufacturing environment.
  
• Strong knowledge of dairy processing technologies and production systems.
  
• Experience with:
  • Pasteurizers
    
  • Homogenizers
    
  • Separators
    
  • Evaporators
    
  • UHT Processing Systems
    
  • Filling and Packaging Machines
    
  • CIP Systems
    
  • Refrigeration Systems
    
  • Steam Boilers
    
• Familiarity with food safety and quality management systems.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  

Preferred Certifications

• HACCP Certification
  
• GMP Certification
  
• ISO 22000 Food Safety Management
  
• NEBOSH or IOSH (advantageous)
  
• Lean Six Sigma (preferred)
