Listening skills – Receivers must understand customer inquiries and help them with anything they need, so good listening skills are essential.

Patience – Customers can sometimes be frustrated, confused or angry, so it is essential that greeters are able to remain calm, professional and polite.

Administrative Skills - Office skills (such as completing administrative paperwork) are often part of this job, so some administrative experience is beneficial.
