Basic Qualifications
- Law degree and admitted to practice in Australia, or another common law jurisdiction: candidates admitted in other jurisdictions with sound knowledge of relevant Australian laws may be considered.
- 7+ years of post-admission legal experience, with at least 3 years gained in a leading law firm. More experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
- Solid drafting and negotiation experience
- Experience in technology and commercial transactions or businesses
- Solid understanding of Competition and Consumer Law
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of legal issues relevant to technology businesses such as intellectual property and privacy.
- Experience advising on regulations, and working with regulators, preferably in Australia
- Experience working in-house, preferably at a multi-national or in a retail or technology business
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once, and follow through and meet deadlines
