KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently looking to fill a position of Civil Engineer for an Offshore Project to be based in UAE ( Abu Dhabi).
Key Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise in civil and structural engineering activities related to offshore and onshore assets. The role focuses on structural integrity assessment inspection planning rehabilitation studies project coordination design review and management of engineering consultancy services to ensure the safe and reliable operation of ADNOC Offshore facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed civil and structural engineering design and analysis for concrete and steel structures in compliance with applicable ADNOC international and industry standards.
- Carry out structural integrity assessments fitness-for-service evaluations and condition assessments of existing offshore and onshore structures.
- Develop and prepare Scope of Work (SOW) documents for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Destructive Testing (DT) inspection programs.
- Review monitor and supervise consultants and contractors performing NDT/DT activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
- Evaluate structural inspection findings and recommend repair strengthening rehabilitation or replacement solutions.
- Participate in technical bid evaluations and prepare Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) reports for engineering and inspection contracts.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams consultants contractors and stakeholders to ensure effective project execution and timely delivery.
- Review engineering deliverables structural calculations drawings specifications and technical reports.
- Support asset integrity management initiatives through assessment monitoring and maintenance recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards HSE requirements project procedures and international engineering codes.
- Prepare engineering reports presentations project schedules and progress updates for management review.
- Provide technical support during project planning execution construction inspection and commissioning phases.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
- Overall industry experience of 12- 15 years in Civil and Structural Engineering.
- Proven hands-on design experience in Concrete and Steel Structures.
- Strong experience in conducting Structural Integrity Assessments of existing facilities.
- Experience in preparing Scope of Work (SOW) and inspection programs for NDT/DT requirements.
- Experience supervising and managing consultants and contractors performing NDT/DT activities.
- Experience in Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and preparation of bid assessment reports.
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination planning and management.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas Offshore Petrochemical or Energy sector is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with international design codes such as ACI AISC BS Eurocodes API and relevant ADNOC standards.
