Job Description

Our client is a leading physical commodity trading firm based in Dubai are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant for their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup accounting function and manage full scope of accounting
    transactions;
  • Liaising with banks assisting in opening corporate bank accounts ensure timely bank payments;
  • Handle quarterly and annual closings manage balance sheets and
    profit/loss statements participate in group consolidation;
  • Assure tax compliance and prepare tax returns;
  • Execute trades and transactions in financial markets to manage foreign exchange exposure and interest rate risks

Requirements and skills

  • Work experience as a Senior Accountant in the UAE at least 5 year preferably in commodities trading;
  • Fluent English. Russian is a plus but not mandatory;
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures in UAE;
  • Deep understanding of IFRS and its principals;
  • Handson experience with accounting software like Tally MS Dynamics
    SAP or similar;
  • Advanced MS Excel skills;
  • BSc in Accounting Finance or relevant degree;
  • Additional certification (ACCA CPA or CMA) is a plus
