Job Description

As a Chef de Partie you will be responsible for a specific section of the kitchen ensuring the preparation cooking and presentation of dishes according to the established standards. You will collaborate with the head chef and sous chef to maintain highquality cuisine and efficient kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients and execute cooking techniques according to recipes and guidelines provided by the head chef.
2. Station Management: Oversee and manage a designated section of the kitchen ensuring cleanliness organization and compliance with food safety standards.
3. Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes leaving your section are of high quality properly cooked and presented according to the standards set by the head chef.
4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate orders maintain stock levels and ensure smooth service during busy periods.
5. Training and Development: Assist in training junior kitchen staff imparting culinary knowledge and reinforcing standards of food preparation and presentation.
6. Menu Development: Collaborate with the head chef and sous chefs in creating new dishes developing recipes and suggesting menu improvements.
7. Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels for your section ensuring that stock is replenished in a timely manner and wastage is minimized.
8. Adherence to Health and Safety Regulations: Follow all health and safety regulations including proper handling of equipment storage of food items and maintenance of cleanliness in the kitchen.
9. Communication: Maintain effective communication with other members of the kitchen team frontofhouse staff and management to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
10. Problem Solving: Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during service promptly and efficiently seeking assistance from senior chefs when necessary.

Requirements

Requirements:
1. Proven experience working as a chef de partie or in a similar role within a professional kitchen environment.
2. Indepth knowledge of culinary techniques food safety standards and kitchen equipment.
3. Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff.
6. Creative flair and a passion for food with a willingness to contribute ideas and suggestions for menu development.
7. Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required by the demands of the business.
8. Culinary qualifications or certifications from a recognized culinary institution are preferred but not essential depending on experience.
