Certification Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the certification process for autonomous vehicle technologies ensuring compliance with relevant industry and regulatory standards.
• Develop and execute certification strategies in alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison with certification authorities regulatory agencies and industry standards organizations.
• Monitor changes in regulations and standards related to autonomous systems and update internal processes accordingly.
• Collaborate with engineering legal and product teams to integrate certification requirements into the development lifecycle.
• Conduct gap analyses to identify potential compliance risks and work with teams to address them.
• Prepare and submit documentation required for certifications and regulatory approvals.
• Support audits inspections and testing processes necessary for certification approvals.
• Advocate for LODD Autonomous in industry working groups contributing to the evolution of standards and regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Regulatory Affairs or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in certification regulatory compliance or safety engineering preferably in the automotive robotics or aerospace industries.
• Indepth knowledge of certification processes such as ISO 26262 ISO 21448 (SOTIF) SAE UNECE regulations or other relevant autonomous vehicle standards.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies such as NHTSA FMVSS DOT or international equivalents.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple certification programs simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory and technical requirements.
• Prior experience in autonomous vehicle technology or advanced driverassistance systems (ADAS) is a plus.
