Business Development & Technical Sales Engineer (FM) V.I.E. contract

Join ICAPE Group as a Business Developpment & Technical Sales Engineer F/M Abu Dhabi (UAE)

As part of the development of our Sales team we are looking for a young sales engineer wishing to grow in an international technical environment with a strong industrial dimension.

The position begins with a 12-month immersion renewable for 12 months within our office in Abu Dhabi(UAE).

As part of its growth strategy in the Middle East ICAPE Group is looking for a highly motivated young graduate eager to develop within an international environment combining business development and technical sales.

This VIE position aims to support the expansion of our Electronic Components Business Unit across the Gulf region (UAE Saudi Arabia Qatar Kuwait Bahrain and Oman).

The role combines two complementary missions:

• Supporting and developing strategic customer accounts.
• Driving business development and acquiring new customers across the Gulf countries.

This unique opportunity will allow the candidate to gain a strong understanding of the electronics supply chain electronic

components industrial customer requirements and international B2B sales practices.

1. Key Account Development & Technical Sales Support

Working closely with the regional sales team the VIE will contribute to the development and management of strategic customer accounts.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the development and management of existing key accounts.
• Support the development of customer-specific supply chain solutions including safety stock buffer stock call-off programs and component inventory management.
• Manage day-to-day customer interactions and requests.
• Analyze customer commercial and technical requirements.
• Prepare and follow up on Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
• Coordinate communications between customers suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor quotations and support their conversion into orders.
• Follow customer projects from initial request through execution.
• Participate in customer meetings and business reviews.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
• Perform market intelligence and competitive analysis.
• Provide regular reporting on business opportunities pipeline development and sales activities.

2. Business Development & New Customer Acquisition

The VIE will actively participate in expanding ICAPE Groups electronic components business throughout the Gulf region.

Main Responsibilities:

• Identify new prospects and business opportunities.
• Map and analyze industrial markets and target accounts within the region.
• Develop supply chain proposals combining products components warehousing importation and logistics services
• Coordinate international supply flows from Asia Europe and other sourcing regions to the UAE and GCC countries
• Conduct prospecting activities through phone digital channels networking and field visits.
• Organize and attend meetings with prospects and customers.
• Develop a portfolio of new customers in industries such as:
• Defense Aerospace Telecommunications Energy Industrial Equipment Transportation & Mobility Embedded Electronics.
• Understand customers technical and supply chain challenges to identify the most suitable solutions.
• Prepare commercial proposals and participate in negotiations.
• Manage opportunities through the entire sales cycle until order placement.
• Participate in trade shows industry events and local marketing initiatives.
• Contribute to the achievement of regional growth and revenue objectives.

3. Technical Dimension

The VIE will work closely with the Groups sales sourcing supply chain quality and supplier network teams worldwide.

To become a trusted business partner for customers the candidate will progressively develop expertise in:

• Active and passive electronic components.
• Electronics supply chain and sourcing strategies.
• Industrial and electronics manufacturing environments.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) management and component qualification processes.
• Technical pre-sales support.
• Identification and development of customer-specific solutions.

Profile

• Masters Degree (Business School Engineering School or equivalent university degree).
• Strong interest in international business development and B2B sales.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the GCC countries (UAE Saudi Arabia Qatar Kuwait Bahrain and Oman).
• Genuine interest in technical products and the electronics industry.
• Ability to understand technical customer requirements and translate them into business opportunities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and strong drive to achieve results.
• Curious autonomous and adaptable.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment.
• Professional fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Basic Arabic language skills would be appreciated
• First experience in Business Development Sales Account Management or Technical Sales.
• Knowledge of the electronic components industry is a strong advantage.
• Previous exposure to industrial or technical environments.
• Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
• International experience and/or knowledge of Middle Eastern markets would be appreciated.
