Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and select Government sales opportunities and/or solicitations based off capability, competition, history and expertise.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, products, procedures for precise estimation of labor and material costing and profitability.
  • Analyze requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposal (RFPs), and requests for quotation (RFQs)
  • Prepare initial responses for the RFP, RFI and/or RFQ with cost mark ups
  • Understanding of market dynamics and competition with respect to pricing and lead time
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining collaboration workspace for proposal preparation
  • Collaborate with team to write/edit/proofread proposal sections to ensure all requirements are captured accurately.
  • Work with SMEs and collect information for specific proposal assignments
  • Lead lessons learned meetings and implement actions to improve process efficiency
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance current proposal/sales process
  • Assist with new sales opportunities by developing plans on attaining new business
  • Prepare and deliver the production/packaging for proposal submissions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area such as Engineering, business/marketing, finance and/or economics.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and work with teams to complete projects
  • Demonstrated writing, research, and critical-thinking skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Visio)
  • Experience with proposals including reading/analyzing requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposal (RFPs), and requests for quotation (RFQs)
  • Familiarity with U.S. Federal Government agencies and/or procurement process.
  • Familiarity with data management skills preferred
*Experience with Government and must have manufacturing or product level experience and/or experience in searching for new bids*

*Experience with putting together bid packages must have knowledge on products and technical capabilities of manufacturing*

*Job requires travel to NY to understand Centroid capabilities and work alongside team members in both sites*
