BG Global is hiring for the starch manufacturing industry and is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to maintain troubleshoot and support PLC DCS and automation systems to ensure reliable plant operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain troubleshoot and support PLC DCS and automation control systems.
- Read and interpret P&IDs and understand process control logic.
- Prepare cable schedules and perform hot & cold loop checking.
- Support DCS networking and third-party communication systems.
- Maintain UPS systems to ensure uninterrupted operation of automation equipment.
- Assist in commissioning testing and optimizing automation systems.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Requirements
- ITI Diploma or Bachelors degree in Automation Instrumentation Electronics Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 35 years of experience in the starch manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens S7 PLCs; knowledge of Siemens PCS 7 is an advantage.
- Experience with DCS networking third-party communication cable scheduling and loop checking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and technical documentation.
- Ability to read P&IDs and troubleshoot automation systems.
