An Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial operations managing accounting teams ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management
Oversee daily accounting operations (AP AR GL payroll)
Ensure accuracy of financial records and transactions
Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
Develop and manage company budgets
Monitor expenses and financial performance
Provide financial forecasts and analysis to management
3. Team Leadership
Supervise and guide accounting staff
Assign tasks and review team performance
Provide training and support to junior accountants
4. Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP)
Coordinate internal and external audits
Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections
5. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare financial reports for senior management
Analyze profit/loss cash flow and cost control
Identify financial risks and suggest improvements
6. Tax & Regulatory Work
Ensure timely tax filing and compliance
Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants
Stay updated with financial regulations
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Professional certification preferred (ACCA CPA CMA)
510 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally SAP QuickBooks etc.)
