- To support teaching andlearningacross the curriculum through effective resource management and library services
- To contribute to the daily life of the school by supporting administrative and academic functions
- To ensure theLearning Hubis safe inclusive and aligned with the schools values
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist visitors staff and pupils in a friendly professional manner
- Manage theLearning Hub including book issuance stock control cataloguing and digital resource management
- Actively engage with children to encourage reading for pleasure and academic success
- Support theAccelerated Readerprogramme and track pupil progress
- Plan and deliverworkshops on academic integrity and research skills
- Actively support teachers and pupilsduring scheduled library sessions
- Support with English language interventionsas directed by teaching staff
- Organise and promote library and literacy events such asauthor visits book fairs and literature festivals
- Leadlibrary-based ECAs such as ahomework clubor reading club
- Provide lesson coverwhen needed
- Be an active member of the schools compliance committee contributing to discussions and actions that ensure high standards of welfare safety and operational compliance
- Carry out additional administrative and support duties to ensure the smooth running of the school
