DescriptionRole: Associate Manager - Regulatory Reporting
Location: Abu Dhabi
Role Purpose:
Regulatory Reporting role at ADIB Head Office which requires completing UAE central bank reports accurately and on time. Key responsibilities also include preparing BRFs ensuring compliance with regulations reconciling with financial statements and addressing queries from regulators. The role also requires strong accounting knowledge and various competencies such as communication problem-solving and teamwork with a focus on maintaining the banks reputation through error-free reporting.
Key Accountabilities of the role:
BRF preparation and reporting:
- Prepares and handles the CB UAE reporting (BRFs) as per the reporting deadlines based on the BRF reporting guidelines / explanatory notes provided by CB UAE on a regular basis.
- Responsible for implementing new BRFs and changes to existing BRFs required by CBUAE on regular basis to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Liase with various department with ADIB and internation branches and subsidiaries to collate information required to fulfill the BRFs requirements on regular basis.
- Assist Line manager to adhere to all central banks regulations / circulars/ changes in the existing BRFs / New BRFs.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the banks financial statements (balance sheet and Income statement) required to produce the various BRF reports.
- Assist line manager and the regulatory reporting team in responding to all regulators queries and requests on monthly basis related to BRFs.
- Assist line manager to ensure that all the reports are accurate with proper supporting data and audit trail to ensure and protect reputation risk for ADIB Group.
Reconciliation and Control
- Reconciling all financial based BRFs with ADIB financial statements on monthly basis highlighting differences if any addressing all differences properly and marking the relevant justification with proper audit trail.
- Assist line Manager in Internal Audits and External Audits (CB UAE and External Auditors) of BRFs on annual basis.
Query Resolution
- Respond to all queries and clarifications related to regulatory reporting to internal audits external audits Branches subsidiaries and departments within ADIB without any delays.
Automation and CB UAE
- Assist line Manager in automating various BRFs processes and reports to improve governance along with audit trail.
- Assist line manager in upcoming Supervisory Technology Program (Sup Tech) launched as part of the Financial Infrastructure Transformation Initiative from CB UAE.
Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
- Part Qualified ACCA / ACA with banking experience
- Accounting and Islamic banking knowledge
- Expertise in Excel
Previous experience:
- 8 to 10 years working experience with 2-5 years of experience in Banking industry.
