We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As the second-in-command in our kitchen you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while supporting the Executive Chef in daily operations.
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning recipe development and kitchen management
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality presentation and customer satisfaction
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and health standards
- Oversee food preparation cooking techniques and plating to maintain consistency
- Manage inventory control costs and minimize waste while maintaining quality
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Participate in menu tastings and special events as required
- Step in for the Executive Chef when necessary assuming full kitchen leadership
Qualifications :
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a high-volume upscale restaurant setting
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sous chef or similar leadership role
- Demonstrated passion and creativity for food ingredients and flavors
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene health and safety standards
- Proficiency in menu planning recipe development and cost control
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Familiarity with Middle Eastern cuisine is a plus
