Reporting to the Senior Director of Fintech at talabat this role will assume full ownership of the payment acceptance function from both a business and operational standpoint overseeing hundreds of millions of dollars in online payment volumes. The position is critical to optimizing payment performance ensuring operational excellence strengthening partner relationships and enabling strategic growth across the platform.
Whats On Your Plate
Lead talabats Payment Acceptance function with a strong commercial and operational focus.
Establish new partnerships and manage existing relationships with PSPs gateways and acquirers encompassing sourcing evaluation negotiation solution design testing and deployment.
Identify and drive initiatives to enhance (1) acceptance rates (2) fraud prevention and controls (3) incident management processes (4) cost efficiencies and (5) platform capabilities.
Collaborate closely with Product and Technology teams to shape and maintain the payment acceptance roadmap including leading quarterly prioritization exercises.
Coordinate with internal crossfunctional stakeholders and external partners to ensure the seamless execution of projects and prompt resolution of operational issues.
Develop and present comprehensive performance reports on the payments portfolio across all operating markets.
Continuously monitor market developments and regulatory changes to benchmark performance and maintain compliance.
Support annual and biannual targetsetting and budgeting exercises ensuring continuous performance tracking against agreed objectives.
What Did We Order
Deep understanding of online payments processing (including card acquiring and alternative payment methods) from a commercial and operational lens.
Highly selfmotivated demonstrating strong ownership and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within the MENA region ideally within an eCommerce business or PSP environment.
Strong knowledge of the capabilities and offerings of thirdparty providers including PSPs acquirers APMs and emerging payment technologies.
Exceptional presentation communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to manage and drive multiple complex initiatives concurrently across diverse stakeholder groups.
Note: Please note that holding significant online payments experience within MENA is mandatory for this role
