Banking & Finance Transactions

• At least 5 years ofpost-qualification experience as a qualified lawyer from a reputable legalpractice environment in the UAE.
• Strong technical knowledge andskills with regards to laws and regulations within the banking & financeindustry in the UAE and the MENA region, in addition to common globaljurisdictions such as the UK, EU, and US.
• Good working knowledge of thebanking & finance industry, its business trends, industry jargon, and howits entities function and operate (e.g commercial banks, investment banks,investment funds, etc).
• Good knowledge of, and can makequick references to, corporate and insolvency law in a banking & financeenvironment.
• Solid awareness of the documentarystructure of ordinary transactions and familiarity with the structure oftypical legal deliverables (e.g., executive summary, legal issues memorandum,legal opinion).
• Strong clientrelationship-building capabilities combined with strategic and commercialawareness.
• Excellent understanding of locallaws and regulations within the banking & finance industry and the abilityto navigate them.
• Excellent communication,presentation, collaboration, self-management, negotiation, and projectmanagement skills.
• The ability to create, sustain,and lead effective work teams.
