Roles and responsibilities

• Develop new customers and support front-end sales in expanding the Networking and Cybersecurity portfolio by providing pre-sales technical support. Take full responsibility for account development and achieving defined targets.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to maximize the opportunity pipeline and identify prospects.
• Configure networking products, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems, according to scope requirements and provide the necessary technical support.
• Respond to RFQs technically, prepare system drawings and architecture, create BOMs, and ensure technical compliance with requirements.
• Run technical POCs for customers and partners in Networking and Cybersecurity, focusing on OT solutions.
• Conduct technical training for customers and partners in Networking and Cybersecurity.
• Develop sales opportunities by identifying potential accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
• Design advanced network security solutions, including next-generation firewalls and intrusion prevention systems, to protect OT environments
  

Your success is grounded in

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/communication engineering is a must.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in technical sales and/or product capacity.
• Technical knowledge of industrial Ethernet switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, 5G technologies, related software, and cables.
• Relevant certifications such as SIEMENS CPIN in SCALANCE or RUGGEDCOM, or CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent in networking and cybersecurity.
• Proven communication and negotiation skills with strong product presentation abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
• Unrestricted ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and time-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities of Portfolio Consultants

1. Portfolio Assessment

• Reviewing the Current Portfolio: A core function of portfolio consulting is evaluating the existing portfolio to understand its structure, performance, and alignment with the client’s objectives.
• Analyzing Historical Performance: For investment portfolios, this includes reviewing past returns, risks, and asset allocation. For project and product portfolios, it involves assessing the success or challenges faced by current initiatives.

2. Strategic Advice and Alignment

• Defining Objectives: Helping clients clearly define their financial, business, or strategic goals so that the portfolio aligns with those objectives.
• Aligning the Portfolio: Ensuring that investments, projects, or products align with long-term goals, market trends, and risk appetite.
• Strategic Prioritization: Helping clients prioritize investments or projects within the portfolio based on factors like market potential, risk, return, and resource constraints.

3. Risk Management

• Risk Assessment: Identifying risks associated with the portfolio, whether they are financial risks (market fluctuations, economic downturns), project-related risks (budget overruns, scope changes), or operational risks (resource shortages, execution challenges).
• Diversification Strategies: Recommending ways to diversify the portfolio to mitigate risk and improve stability. In investment consulting, this could involve asset diversification; in project consulting, it may mean spreading resources across multiple projects to reduce dependencies.

4. Resource Allocation and Optimization

• Optimizing Resource Use: Ensuring that the resources (financial, human, time) are allocated effectively across the portfolio. For investment portfolios, this means balancing investments across sectors or asset classes. For project portfolios, this means managing human and financial resources across various projects.
• Capital Allocation: Advising clients on how to allocate capital between different initiatives or investments to ensure maximum return on investment and strategic impact.
