Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Experience – 2 to 5 years

Location: Fujairah

Language: English and Hindi

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment used in cement production machinery and plants.
  • Conduct routine inspections and tests on electrical components to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in control systems, motors, conveyors, and other cement plant equipment.
  • Adhere to electrical safety standards and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and electrical system performance to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • 1. Technical and Electrical Skills

  • Circuitry and Wiring: Strong understanding of electrical circuits, wiring methods, and components (e.g., resistors, capacitors, transformers, circuit breakers).
  • Electrical Components: Familiarity with electrical components such as motors, generators, switches, and relays, including how to install, repair, and maintain them.
  • Reading Schematics: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot and design electrical systems.
  • Power Distribution: Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, including transformers, substations, and control panels.
  • 2. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics

  • Fault Diagnosis: Identifying faults in electrical systems by inspecting and testing components using tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit testers.
  • Circuit Analysis: Analyzing circuits and identifying short circuits, overloads, grounding issues, and faulty connections.
  • Problem-Solving: Applying troubleshooting techniques to diagnose complex electrical issues and repair faulty systems efficiently.
  • 3. Installation and Maintenance

  • Electrical System Installation: Installing electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings, ensuring compliance with electrical codes.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance checks to identify potential issues, cleaning and lubricating components, and testing electrical systems to ensure proper functioning.
  • Upgrades and Modifications: Updating or upgrading electrical systems to meet modern standards or to improve efficiency.
  • 4. Safety Awareness

  • Electrical Safety: Adhering to electrical safety standards and procedures to prevent accidents, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices and ensuring proper grounding.
  • PPE Use: Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and insulated tools when working with electrical systems.
  • Code Compliance: Understanding and following national and local electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC) to ensure installations and repairs meet legal and safety standards.
  • 5. Equipment Handling and Calibration

  • Electrical Testing Equipment: Expertise in using electrical testing instruments such as digital multimeters, insulation resistance testers, and voltage testers to measure system performance.
  • Calibrating Instruments: Ensuring that electrical equipment and measuring tools are calibrated correctly to guarantee accurate readings during testing and repairs.
  • Tool Maintenance: Regularly maintaining and inspecting tools to ensure they are in proper working condition for electrical tasks.

Desired candidate profile
