Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Sales Development and Strategy

  • Lead Generation: Identify and generate new business leads through various methods such as cold calling, networking, attending trade shows, and leveraging social media.
  • Prospecting: Research potential clients and target audiences to understand their needs and tailor solutions to meet their demands.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to identify opportunities for growth.

Client Relationship Management

  • Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients by offering excellent customer service and addressing their needs effectively.
  • Consultative Selling: Understand the client’s requirements and offer tailored solutions that help solve their problems or improve their business.
  • Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to close sales and achieve revenue targets.

Product Knowledge and Demonstrations

  • Product Expertise: Stay informed about the company’s products or services, and be able to explain their features, benefits, and competitive advantages to potential customers.
  • Product Presentations: Conduct presentations or product demonstrations to showcase how the products or services meet customer needs and solve problems.
  • Market Trends: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and customer feedback to adjust sales approaches and improve customer satisfaction.

Sales Target and Performance Tracking

  • Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets set by the company. Regularly review progress and strategize ways to improve performance if targets are not being met.
  • Sales Forecasting: Predict future sales and market conditions based on current data and industry trends.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions in a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system. Provide regular reports on sales progress to management.

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Collaborate with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing department to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and advertisements that align with sales goals.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Coordinate with internal teams such as customer service, logistics, and finance to ensure smooth execution of sales orders and contracts.

Customer Support and Retention

  • After-Sales Support: Ensure customer satisfaction by providing post-sale support, addressing any concerns, and assisting with product or service issues.
  • Customer Retention: Work towards retaining clients by offering ongoing support, following up on sales, and identifying new opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from customers regarding the products or services to help improve offerings and customer satisfaction.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients, explain products, and negotiate deals effectively.

    • Ability to negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with clients to close sales while maximizing profitability.
  • Problem-Solving

    • Ability to identify client issues and propose solutions that meet their needs, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Time Management

    • The ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines and sales targets.
  • Product Knowledge

    • In-depth understanding of the company's products or services and the ability to explain their features and benefits to clients.
  • Sales Tools Proficiency

    • Familiarity with CRM software, sales tracking tools, and other sales management systems to maintain records and manage relationships effectively.
  • Market Awareness

    • Awareness of market trends, competitors, and industry developments to adapt sales strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
